Adopted!

Rainbow appeared in an arroyo near a Santa Fe Neighborhood, where kind people made sure she had food and water. She began to anticipate their offerings and pop her head up at the sound of a familiar car, but was much too skittish to get close enough for rescue. Eventually, Animal Control managed to get her to the Shelter, but she was too terrified to be considered adoptable, so when her time was up we brought her to the Sanctuary.

With the help of Homeopathy, Bach Flower Remedies, and Herbs, Rainbow has recently made a series of astonishing breakthroughs! After months and months of frantic isolation, she now enters and explores Robert's studio, hangs out on the futon couch with her beloved Prairie, allows Robert to pet her, goes in and out of the building at will, and recently decided she would like to sleep inside at night, too!

She's probably still light years from "adoptable" but we continue to let her move into trust at her own pace and will help her find a real home when she lets us know she's ready. We would welcome your help with the cost of her good food and remedies.
